Beware of the .COM Domain Price Increase
I Oppose ICANN-VeriSign Agreement
The Agreement basically says that Verisign will may take control of the .COM registry and with that power, also has in its plans to increase the cost of .com domains 7%.
There are some proponents of the agreement, but many greatly oppose it including GoDaddy - one of the largest registrars of .com domains.
I personally don’t agree as a percentage of our business revenue deals with selling .com domains as well as publishing various ad networks advertisements on the same.
So I wrote a letter to my senator so I can at least feel good about taking a stand. We’ll see what happens.
