Automated Audience Measurement

We've all been waiting (or at least I have) for someone to put the hightech into billboards. We're much closer than one might think to intelligent billboards. Billboards that know your gender, age and interest level as you walk down the street. The days many of witnessed in the Minority Report are right around the corner (pending privacy laws do not impede). Companies such as Quividi and TruMedia are competing for center stage. Quoted From Quividi. "Quividi never records any image from its audie... read more!

Youtube.com - more then user generated content

I have to admit - I've become a youtube.com regular lately. I'm not one for idle time (and yes youtube can catch you wasting time quickly), but there are some great reasons to watch youtube. Here are just 3 for now to get us started: 1. History So I'm alone for the week with my two sons Spencer and Dallen. My wife takes the girls up to Idaho to be with family while we hold down the fort until school is out to catch up with her. I honestly don't remember the discussion, but Dallen and I begin a ... read more!

The Perfect Bag?

I'm often on the road. The laptop always accompanies. On the weekends or while traveling for fun I like to bring my photography equipment. How can I possibly avoid multi-bag syndrome? I not only like clean, simple and easy coding and design, but also my luggage, and on a philosophical note: my life to some degree. I've recently found the bag that does it all - The Tenba Messenger. Fully loaded it holds both my laptop, camera body, three lenses and flash. Not to mention needed files. I can easily... read more!

Ergo Economics

I found myself wondering how much correct posture is truly worth today. Getting work done with jobs like ours here at Luna requires considerable time at the keyboard, as you might imagine. The only question is, how to best arrange laptop, external monitor/keyboard, desk and chair? We all know how this it ought to be done; i.e. this handy diagram. However, actually accomplishing this isn't the easiest of tasks. Derived from greek; ergon (work) and nomos (laws), we've created ergonomics - the sci... read more!

I am aware you can change some character encoding settings, but in most cases do you really need to ha... read more!

Everything is a .com

It's become somewhat of a joke recently around the office. Someone says a phrase - and I add .com to the end of it. You'd be surprised how many phrases with a .com on the end could actually become some really good viral micro website ideas. A few recent ones that we've actually started developing: We were discussing the nominations for presidency for the upcoming 2008 elections. Several team members shared dissatisfaction with the options. Someone mentioned: "you can write in" your vote. Ne... read more!

Twitter V.S. Facebook

140 character limited simple messaging. How could this possibly be helpful or interesting? Honestly. Winston Churchhill once said "A vocabulary of truth and simplicity will be of service throughout your life", so Winston, is this the case with Twitter? Do I really only need to know simple, true facts about my significant others? Maybe so. I was a skeptic (as usual). Wandering for ways to fill the waste of space within the Vista Sidebar; I found a Twitter gadget. It works well, fitting nicely und... read more!
