To Upgrade… Or not to Upgrade?

When Adobe announces a new Creative Suite many designers and companies are faced with the question of upgrading. Should I upgrade when the software is first available? Do I risk losing productivity while myself or my employees adjust? Do I wait a year and risk the software becoming obsolete in just a few months? Honestly I don't have the answers to these questions.
