Alumni Website Design and Software

Version 2.3 of our Alumni Web Software has just been launched. We've been developing new features such as a custom forum for alumni organizations and an alumni reunion organizer. In the near future we'll also have the ability for alumni reunion organizers to email their class notifying of upcoming reunions. There may be a small fee to offset bandwidth costs. The greatest part is that the alumni software is a hosted solution starting at only $99/mo. Check out our alumni web design portal for more... read more!

Version control is a process of managing the ongoing development and edits of programming code and sometimes other digital documents. Version control helps developers keep track of various edits, even among a group of co-operating developers. When there are many developers working on a project at once it ... read more!

YouTube HD Player Grows Before Your Eyes

YouTube keeps tweaking its video player and it keeps getting better and better. The most recent change is that when you click on the 'play in HD' option (see my older post to see how to do this) the video not only becomes sharper, but the player grows as well. All other screen information is bumped down to make room for a larger, clearer experience. Cross browser work around for min and max height

Wouldn't it be great if all the capabilities of css were supported thoroughly across all modern web browsers? YES! it would be but unfortunately we live in a world where that cannot happen, call it politics, lazyness or outright stubbornness but it is a sad truth that we still have to code browser hacks or work arounds in order to get the desired effects acrosse all web browsers. Min-height/max-height is one of these things that some browsers support and others do not. If you have a website that... read more!

Polaroid to Cease Instant Film Production

Another victim of the digital age kicks the bucket this month: Polaroid instant film. Once the fastest way to produce a captured image, the film manufacturer has announced that it can no longer compete with digital photography and will stop making the film this month. This stuff has been around for sixty years and it was another inevitability in our modern electronic era. I don't really feel sorry for Polaroid. Like any company, they have to evolve with the times if they are expected to remain a... read more!
