Quit Smoking with Electronic Cigarettes

Quitting smoking may now be more realistic with Jettes new Electronic Cigarettes. Many smokers try to quit using new methods such as the nicotine patch, gum or other home ready methods. The new electronic cigarette may be the new solution. Because there are cartridges that contain small amounts of nicotine that can be reduced over time, the smoker can inhale the atomized "mist" of water and nicotine without taking in the carcinogens that cause major harm like smoke and tar. Disabling Windows Auto-play

Windows Auto-play, the little box that pops up when you put in a disk or plug in an external drive. Not only can this be annoying, when it consistently asks you what to do every time you put in a disk, but it can also be a security risk. The .ics is the newer standard for calendar data export that is much more robust then its predecessor. There are times however where it may come in handy. My wife gave her old Sonly Clie TJ-37 (that thing still does a lot at today's standards for a Palm) to my 10 year old son. After a couple of hours of configuring, setting up for home WIFI access, surfing the net, mobile synching with m... read more!

The unplanned emergency, all data centers have down time

This morning I received an email with the subject "Fibernet -- Unplanned Emergency --". It turns out that a core router on the Fibernet network went down, the entire network was down for a duration of 2 hours affecting a wide area of locations ( Utah Valley, Heber, Salt Lake Valley, Park City, Ogden ).Not long beforehand a power transformer blew at the Tier 4 data center in salt lake, the backup generators failed to kick in and there was also some downtime. It seems that even with the latest an... read more!
