There’s no place like home.

Lately I have been noticing more and more websites eliminating the home link from their navigation all together. Is this where websites are headed? Has the user evolved to just know to click the logo to return home? I know that most tech savvy people wouldn't miss it, but what about everyone else. I would guess most people look to the main navigation to move about a website. Personally I don't think we are to the point where we can just remove the home link. Render Me This, Render Me That…

One commonality with modern editing software (Vegas on the PC, or Final Cut Pro on the Mac) is that they are hardware independent. Not so long ago, software came with it's own hardware card that would aid in the running of the software (often taking the processing burden away from main computer) and show layered effects in realtime.
