Mac Tips - Put the Brakes on Shutdown

It's the end of the day and you are shutting down your computer... But wait! You forgot to send that email. What do you do? Well you actually have a little over 5 seconds to hit the brakes before you computer shuts down. The fastest way to stop it from shutting down is to click a fast loading program in your dock. Server Bandwidth Tracking

If you live a world with bandwidth charges ( we're talking about pipe saturation not how many bytes you have transferred this month ) or you just want to know how much traffic is going through your server, then this post applies to you. Tools like whm/cpanel are great to see how many bytes you have transferred in a particular month, but doesn't really give you an idea of peak usage in a bytes/second model. Digital SLRs and HD Video

A really cool trend in the DSLR still camera market is that of including an HD video mode. While most still photographers could care less, using a "real" camera to shoot video has one major advantage: true depth of field. As I've written about before, video cameras shoot everything very flat, with most everything in the frame being in focus.
