Senior Web Designer

Pay Scale: DOE

Experience: 3-5 years experience required

Do you dream in RGB? Can you name the fonts on the billboards you drive past on the interstate? If so, we want to meet you.

We are looking for more than just a pixel pusher. We need an innovator willing to tackle any challenge. Someone creative, but human. Do you have experience designing brand identity, websites and use interfaces? If you are a talented designer with an eye for detail - we would love to meet you.  Luna is seeking an experienced individual versed in high end web design and front end coding (xhtml/css)

Candidate must have a strong design portfolio with experience building websites for varied client base.

Designer must be able to write html code and maintain web pages written in open source languages such as PHP. Less experienced interns are welcome to apply for opportunities to build your resume and portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Online Portfolio
  • Must demonstrate ability to deliver projects to client specifications, within timeline and budget
  • Ability to create exceptional designs under strict deadline
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Thorough understanding of web standards
  • Ability to interface and manage clients/projects
  • CSS/xhtml
  • Photoshop and/or Fireworks
  • Illustrator
  • Prepress file preparation
  • High end Design abilities
  • Eye for pixel perfect design
  • Ability to effeciently design multiple websites in tandem
  • Ability to maintain existing websites

Useful skills:

  • Flash/Flex/Silverlight
  • SEO/SMM
  • JavaScript
  • WHM/Cpanel

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year University or similar training – ideally focused on art and/or design
  • Minimum 3 years as a senior web designer for a creative firm
  • List of URLs/online portfolio. Please give SPECIFIC details about your level of involvement (concept, art, code, programming, etc.) on each project
  • Familiarity with current trends in web design and online environments
