Locking Envelopes to Events in Sony Vegas

A great feature in the Vegas video editor is the ability to use envelopes which are keyframable wireframes that allow you to adjust volume and panning of a sound clip and speed of a video clip. These are very handy unless you decide to slide your clips along the timeline. Your video and audio may move, but your envelopes stay put. This is very annoying and forces you to re-adust your envelopes every time you want to move things around.

Fortunately, Vegas has a built-fix for this, but it's not where you might think. "Lock Envlopes to Events" is not in the Preferences menu, but is under "Options". Toggling this feature now forces your envelopes to follow the audio and video that they are connected to. Life just got that much easier.
