As the newest team member here at Luna, I've been absorbing so many new things... systems... procedures... knowledge...
I have to say, my biggest takeaway this week was learning that with great ideas, come great responsibility. Its like planting a seed. If it is going to grow, it has to be nurtured and fed. No one can do this for you! It takes: Bravery, Assertiveness, Risk, Motivation, and Commitment to make anything work in life- Here is a list of impromptu metaphors for you.
Moving forward with a great idea is like....
- Rescuing a dog from the shelter. Why? Because you have to spend many hours training him to be the dog you want him to be!
- Meeting a new best friend candidate. Why? Because you have to be willing to disrupt your normal routine to give time to this person so you can develop a connection!
- Committing to a cross country road trip with your really loud relative (yes, we've all got one). Why? Because even when you feel its too much and you want to stop the car and take a greyhound home--- you love your family member and are loyal to them and are investing your time. You keep going until you reach the coast.
I'm sure there are a million other metaphors we could come up with when talking about brilliant ideas and how to make them come to fruition... I'll keep you posted as I learn more about the steps it takes to turn vision into reality---- but for now, my answer is... dun dun dun...
